It was Rotarians and Sons day today at brigham City Rotary Club.
We had a full house as many Rotarians brought sons, grandsons, sons-in-law, daughters, wives and other guests to hear a great speaker.
We were privileged to hear from Larry Gelwix, "The Getaway Guru" of Columbus Travel and the head coach of the Highland High Rugby team, well known for they're portrayal in the recent movie "Forever Strong".Larry is a world traveler and has many great stories and anecdotes.
He shared a number of humorus questions he has been asked over the years as a radio talk show host in the field of travel.
Larry also spent time sharing his philosphy and wisdom from the world of High School sports, specifically as it relates to the rugby team he has coached for the last 34 years.
Rotarians and guests were treated to two of the areas of his coaching (and leadership)philosophy:
1. Go Horizontal
2. Don't Play With Snakes
